European Cup opening ceremony held at National Gymnastics Arena in Baku

The opening ceremony of the European Cup, held for the first time in Baku, took place at the National Gymnastics Arena.

Report informs that 160 athletes representing 37 countries will demonstrate their skills at the competition.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the event, Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gayibov greeted the guests and wished success to the participants: "I wish success to each participant in the European Cup. I believe that the strongest wins. Development is felt in all types of gymnastics in Azerbaijan. This is a great merit of the head of state."

The winners of the European Cup, which will last until May 5, will be determined in the individual program and all-around, as well as in the team competition. They will be awarded medals and prizes, as well as cash prizes.
