Statements by representatives of Western countries about their readiness to send military contingents to Ukraine require a swift and effective response from Moscow, Russian Presidential Spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said.
He was commenting on Vladimir Putin’s order to the General Staff to conduct exercises on the use of non-strategic nuclear weapons, Report informs referring to Russian media.
According to Peskov, in particular, this refers to statements by French President Emmanuel Macron, British Foreign Secretary David Cameron, as well as some US senators.
“These are hitherto unprecedented statements. They require a very prompt, effective response on our part,” Peskov added.
