A water reservoir in the city of Orsk, Orenburg Oblast of Russia, was completely destroyed, Report informs, with reference to TASS.

According to information from the Ministry of Civil Defense, Emergencies, and Disaster Relief, the volume of water flowing from the Aktyubinsk reservoir has also increased.

At the same time, a state of emergency was declared due to flooding in four districts and the town of Troitsk in Chelyabinsk Oblast, near the Orenburg region.

In the city of Orsk, Orenburg Oblast, Russia, three people died as a result of the overflow of the reservoir, and more than 2,400 houses and 3,065 yards were flooded.

Vasiliy Kozupitsa, the mayor of Orsk, said that on April 6, the level of the Ural River rose above the norm and reached 9.27 meters.

According to the information, the floods are expected to last up to 2 weeks.

It was emphasized that there was a downpour in Orenburg at the end of March. Therefore, on April 4, a state of emergency was declared in the region.
