Samad Seyidov: ‘We believe that New Caledonia will gain its independence’

We believe that New Caledonia will gain its independence, MP Samad Seyidov said at a conference on History, Contemporary Challenges and Expected Future, Report informs.

According to him, today France is nullifying the struggle for democracy: “We must not forget a number of historical facts. For example, the collapse of the Soviet Union, the end of the "Cold War," the demolition of the Berlin Wall, and the victory of Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan's victory was not only a regional issue. Azerbaijan proved many things to the world with this victory. He showed the modern world another example of ensuring people's welfare and rights. I believe that Azerbaijan will share its experience with countries like New Caledonia. We believe that we will see the days when New Caledonia gains its independence and is represented in international organizations as an independent country.”
